The popularity of Canyon Gate Communities is at an all-time high, with a total of 1,685 new-home sales reported for year-end 2005. This was the biggest year ever since the first community was launched in 1998. Current communities are Stone Gate & Canyon Lakes, Legends Ranch, Park Lakes and Westheimer Lakes.

Two more Canyon Gate communities are under development–the 1,170-acre Sterling Lakes at Iowa Colony, scheduled to debut in fall of this year; and the 3,500-acre Lago Mar on I-45 between Galveston and Clear Lake City, set to debut in 2007.

Canyon Gate communities share the concept of gated and monitored high-tech neighborhoods with reasonably-priced homes from the low $100s to the $400s. Some communities offer non-gated villages as well, but all share the concept of strategic family-style recreation and accessible locations near top-performing schools, major thoroughfares and centers of commerce.
