The GHBA truly reaches the entire Greater Houston marketplace. The newly formed Montgomery County Builders & Developers Division (MCBDD) and the Bay Area Builders Association (BABA) were busy in 2005, hosting many successful networking events and monthly meetings featuring many exceptional and informative speakers.
The Montgomery County Builders & Developers Division is a branch of GHBA dedicated to members doing business throughout Montgomery County, one of the top 15 fastest growing counties in the nation. Monthly meetings include both the attendance and perspective of local governmental officials and political leaders, giving insight into county affairs. The division is a central point of contact for county officials on building and development issues affecting the area.
The Bay Area Builders Association is a division of GHBA dedicated to members doing business in the coastal region. BABA works closely with local city officials to ensure new laws and regulations are not detrimental to the building industry and keeps its members informed of important updates. Regular events are held in the Bay Area, providing a forum to meet and network with other BABA and GHBA members.
A great example of GHBA members making a difference was BABA’s efforts on behalf of Lt. Corporal Steven K. Shultz who returned from war in Iraq wheel-chair bound.
Members held a benefit with all funds donated going to his family, and also helped with extensive modifications to his home. |
