History
Since the project began more than 24 years ago, the GHBA Benefit Homes Project has raised more than $2.5 million for deserving local charities. The goal of the project is to construct quality homes with the generously donated time and devotion of Houston area builders and developers. The extraordinary amount of money raised and given to charity pronounces the dedicated commitment of Houston area builders to their community.
How the Project Works
The project begins with the generosity of two builder/developer teams. The developer donates a homesite, and the builder orchestrates the construction. Building industry vendors donate time, labor and materials to complete these homes. The two homes are then sold at market value and the majority of proceeds benefits local charities.
