When we come home after a long day, we’d all like to enter an environment that complements our lifestyle or personality. Are you ready to maximize the enjoyment of your home? Whether building new or personalizing an existing home, your family can enjoy its very own daily family retreat. Your immediate thought may be customizing a home is expensive. Well, today I’ll describe two home lifestyle categories and how you can best integrate them into your budget. With professional expertise you can have a favorable home buying or renovation experience with an opportunity to discuss and implement the current and future enjoyment of your home.
Spring is around the corner, so I’ll start with the Outdoor Living category. The obvious outdoor options are swimming pools, landscaping, and gardens. The latest trend is to bring indoor entertainment to the outdoors with an outdoor kitchen and a covered or shaded patio. Outdoor kitchens can be as simple as a grill or can be a full kitchen as shown in our photo. You can include seating areas, paved flooring, flat screens, entertaining music, fire pits or whatever your family feels is important. This is a great way to enjoy outdoor family entertainment with healthy food or host contemporary parties with friends and neighbors.
Next I’ll discuss the Home Systems category. This category focuses on personalizing technologies to thoroughly enjoy your home inside and out. Examples are media rooms, security and surveillance systems, and smart home applications. A media room or simple home theater can start off small and gradually grow to meet your needs. The important aspects of the room that require initial attention are room layout, quality wire installation, power, acoustics, and raised flooring. After setting the foundation of your space you can add complementary home theater and gaming equipment, lighting controls, and custom seating. Similar to media rooms, smart home systems require you to anticipate future needs and account for them through proper wiring.
Whether you’re ready to customize all at once or you prefer the gradual approach, save yourself from future headaches by (1) educating yourself on home lifestyle options and (2) hiring a knowledgeable professional to design and integrate your ideas into your builder or remodeler’s plans. By aligning your home with family priorities you can maximize the enjoyment of your home and experience your very own daily family retreat.
